1. Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your installation and use of Super Uber Local Delivery (the “app”). By installing, accessing, or using the app, you agree to these terms, to the Shopify platform terms that apply to your store, and to the Uber Direct terms that apply to your Uber account.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the app.
2. What the app does
Super Uber Local Delivery lets a Shopify merchant:
- Connect their own Uber Direct account to their Shopify store.
- See which paid, unfulfilled orders are eligible for local delivery, together with Uber’s quoted fee and estimated time.
- Dispatch a courier manually, or automatically when an order is paid.
- Track delivery status, courier details, and the customer tracking link in the app and on the Shopify order page.
- Record Shopify fulfillment with the Uber tracking link once a delivery completes.
The app arranges deliveries through Uber Direct. It does not employ couriers, operate vehicles, or perform deliveries itself.
3. Eligibility and accounts
- You must maintain an active Shopify store in good standing.
- You must maintain your own active Uber Direct account with service coverage in the areas you deliver to. The app cannot create that account for you.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the store, pickup, and billing information connected to the app, and for all activity that occurs through your store’s installation.
- You are responsible for keeping your Uber Direct API credentials confidential and for rotating them if you believe they are exposed.
4. Uber Direct and third-party services
Deliveries are created under your own Uber Direct account and are subject to Uber’s terms, pricing, coverage, and availability. Uber charges you directly for delivery fees, tips, and any related costs. Those charges are separate from, and additional to, the app subscription described below.
We are not a party to the delivery arrangement between you and Uber, and we are not responsible for courier availability, delivery times, damaged or lost goods, or any act or omission of Uber or its couriers. Uber and Uber Direct are trademarks of Uber Technologies, Inc.; this app is an independent integration and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Uber Technologies, Inc.
5. Plans, billing, and usage limits
- Free — $0, with up to 30 dispatches per 30-day billing cycle.
- Basic — $14.99 USD every 30 days, with up to 150 dispatches per 30-day billing cycle.
App subscription charges are processed through Shopify’s billing system and renew automatically every 30 days until cancelled. You can change or cancel your plan from the app’s billing page or by uninstalling the app. Charges already made for the current billing period are not prorated unless required by law or by Shopify.
A dispatch counts against your plan when a delivery is created or reserved. When the plan limit is reached, further dispatches are blocked until the next billing cycle begins or you upgrade.
We may change plan pricing or limits in the future. Changes will be communicated in advance as required by Shopify and by applicable law, and will not apply to a billing period you have already been charged for.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the app to:
- Violate any law, third-party right, Shopify policy, or Uber policy.
- Arrange the delivery of goods that Uber Direct prohibits, or that require a licence or age verification you do not hold.
- Attempt unauthorised access to the app, its database, other merchants’ data, or related systems.
- Interfere with the performance of the service, circumvent plan limits, or reverse engineer the app except where that right cannot lawfully be restricted.
- Submit false delivery details, or use another party’s Uber Direct credentials without authorisation.
7. Your responsibilities
- Keeping your pickup address, contact phone number, and delivery preferences accurate and current.
- Making sure orders are packed, labelled, and ready when a courier arrives.
- Complying with the delivery, consumer-protection, tax, and privacy laws that apply to your business, including giving customers any notice required before their details are shared with a courier network.
- Reviewing quoted fees, tips, and caps before enabling automatic dispatch, since automatic dispatch creates deliveries without further confirmation.
8. Availability and changes
We may modify, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of the app at any time. We aim to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and the app depends on Shopify and Uber systems that are outside our control.
9. Intellectual property
The app, including its software, design, and related materials, remains the property of its owners and licensors. Installing the app does not transfer any intellectual property rights to you. Your store data remains yours.
10. Disclaimer
The app is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that any delivery will be quoted, accepted, collected, or completed within any particular time.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, delivery fees, or the value of goods in transit. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the app is limited to the app subscription fees you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the app, the goods you send for delivery, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
13. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify admin, which also cancels any active subscription. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, misuse the service, or where required by law or platform policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity — will survive.
14. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms of Service from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Continuing to use the app after an update takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
